Business Opportunities in the Abode of Clouds with Meghalaya Tender

Despite the fact that Meghalaya is a small hilly state in the North Easter part of the country, business opportunities are quite substantial and one could consider grabbing those business opportunities in the abode of clouds with Meghalaya tender.

Major Tender Sources
Since industrialization has not got the impetus in the state, till now the major source of Meghalaya tender is the government of Meghalaya. Hence the prospective bidders should do well to understand the process and requirements of bidding for and winning them so as to promote their business prospects.

Economic Scenario
Economic scenario of Meghalaya is a bid complicated. The state economy is hard hit by illegal mining in the Garo Hills for procurement of coal. However, of late the authorities have started taking strong steps against such illegal activities most of which are illegal coal mines. Instead, government tender are now floated for mining and all other sectors.

Sectors in Which Tenders are Generated
Most of the tenders in Meghalaya are generated in Government sectors and major sectors that floats Meghalaya tender are as follows:
  • Agricultural sector because the state is basically agrarian in nature. Especially fruits and vegetables are grown in plenty in the state. Therefore many government tenders are floated for procurement of seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, and agricultural equipments.
  • One of the major areas from where the Meghalaya tender usually comes up is Shillong, the capital of the state as well as a popular hill station.
  • Another area where a lot of tenders are floated is the tourism and hospitality industry. Since Shillong is one of the major tourist attractions in the state and the country, a number of hotels and resorts have come up.
  • Another very potential source for Meghalaya tenders is the export and import industry since the state is largely dependent on imports for meeting its requirements. Especially the shipment and transportation areas offer many tenders and facilities for entrepreneurs to jumpstart their business.
  • Since the state is full of natural resources like limestone, coal, Kaolin, granite and Sillimanite, many government tenders and a few private tenders are also generated in this sector.
  • A couple of large cement factories have come up in the recent years in the state at the public sector and they also float tenders on regular basis.
  • Tourism is one more sector where large number of Meghalaya tender is available for the prospective bidders. However, infrastructural constraints are coming on the way of effective implementation of the endeavor.

Overview
Since many investors have not yet moved towards this hilly state to exploit the possibilities of business there, levels of competition for responding to and winning the government tenders in the state has not picked up momentum as yet. However, in the recent years there has been a little enhancement of competition with more and more investors coming up to the state.

Most lucrative prospects till date in the state for investment and business are the agricultural sectors dominated by oilseeds, fiber crops, and horticultural products.

Entrepreneurs Can Earn Big Money By Winning Railway Tenders

In an economy that is largely dependent on the railway transport for keeping it healthy and running, huge scope exists for the entrepreneurs to earn big money by bidding for and winning railway tenders. With a network of over 63,000 Kilometers that is growing constantly, the scope for entrepreneurs is really huge. In addition; the introduction of e-tendering process has opened up avenues for bidding, winning, and earning for the entrepreneurs have become easy and convenient.

Tendering Areas
Indian Railway is divided into multiple zones like North, North Eastern, North Western, Western, South Eastern, Southern and Central Zones. Railway budget is different and does not constitute a part of the general national budget. With every budget some extensions, reforms, and renovations in the railway systems are introduced. Since most of the procurements are done using railway tenders, they open up huge opportunities for aspirant bidders.

Types of Railway Tenders
Various types of railway tenders are floated at periodic intervals from different wings of the vast organization. All of them are also not directly related to running of passenger and goods trains but are affiliated services. Main types of railway tenders are for -
  • Installation of railway tracks.
  • Renovation and maintenance of railway tracks.
  • Installation, maintenance, and renovation of underground railways.
  • Construction and maintenance of railway bridges.
  • Excavation and maintenance of railway tunnels.
  • Installation of electrical wiring and other accessories for running trains.
  • Electrical equipments and accessories relating to signaling and running of other instruments to manage the railway running system.
  • Compartment, wagon, wreck, and other manufacturing railway tenders.
  • Installation of electric fittings, sanitary fittings, and seats and seat covers etc. in the passenger trains.
  • Coloring and painting of all types of trains including goods trains.
  • Catering and hosting services in the passenger trains.
  • Railway tenders for installation of computerized ticket booking systems.
  • Announcements and bulletin boards in the railway stations.
  • Furniture and accessories for the staff working in railway stations and level crossing cabins.
  • Supply of stores and stationeries for offices in railway headquarters and stations.
  • Accessories and fittings for railway engines including electric and diesel engines.

There could be numerous other types of railway tenders but these are some of the major areas where such tenders are regularly floated.

Sources for Tenders
While information relating to railway tenders will be available in most of the leading and informative websites, the best source is the website of Indian Railways where all types of tender information will be available for the prospective bidders. Besides this information, the site also offers a complete description about the requirements for bidding including documents, bid amount, and other requisites.

Change for the Better
In the traditional railway tenders process there were several bottlenecks. Realizing the drawbacks of the traditional system of allotment of works on the basis of "lowest rates" through which many untenable bidders were creeping in, the railways has now adopted the system of "lowest workable acceptable rates".

Marked shift in railway tenders is now more on quality than on lowest rates. Hence, prospective bidders should only bid for tenders befitting their expertise, experience, resources, and status.

Solar Battery Charger - Free Energy Available

Won’t you feel great if there is a huge reduction in your electricity bill. I know you will be. But how is it possible to cut it almost to half. One way of doing this is by using CFLs, switching off the lights and fan when not required and using the minimum of electronic appliances. But here we will discuss about solar battery charges and solar tenders that are charged from free Solar energy and then can be used for different purposes. These are of immense help in reducing the electricity bills.

Solar battery chargers are charged by a renewable source of energy and a great boom to the environment. Although it is so beneficial but still it contributes only 0.1% of the total global energy production. But with recognition, globally there has been seen a growth in its production.  Like in Germany the solar capacity has been doubled from from 10GW to 20 GW in 2010. Although the climate of Germany is moderate still the solar battery chargers and solar panels are giving the tremendous output. It is said that falling prices is the reason for such a tremendous growth. Moreover Chinese companies have entered into the solar battery charges and other solar energy. Their products have very less price thus giving boost to the total sale.

Solar battery chargers will work till Sun is there to provide us heat and light. Owing to this reason scientists are working on further improvement in these devices. Solar panel, solar water heaters, solar battery, solar chargers are few to name. Among all chargers are immensly used. These are used to charge laptop, digital camera, MP3, radios, torches etc. Solar panels can also be mounted on the roof of the homes and building and even automobiles. They store Sun's energy which is then used for different purposes.

Solar battery charges vary in types and wattages. The range of their capacity vary greatly as some are small to power up small devices like cell phones and others are so big that they are used in buildings and organizations.

While buying any type of solar battery charger you will have to decide which type of it would you like to buy. There are basically of two types, one is with built-in batteries and the other one is without those. Solar charger with built-in batteries can store the solar energy and can be used anywhere and anytime, where as the second one needs Sunlight to operate any device.
